I felt the same way about Yesteryear. Not my favourite but wanted to get to the end. I listened to the audiobook I wasn’t keen on the voice although that may have been a deliberate choice to fit with the story. Certainly a good choice for book clubs. Lots to think about and discuss.

I agree that it’s going to be a great discussion book for the club. There’s going to be a lot of nuance because we are all military spouses but I think only two of the members have kids – the rest of us are childfree by choice or unfortunate circumstance (I know one girl in particular is just waiting until her 30s so she can get her career established first). So I definitely think we are going to have A LOT to talk about – and not just in terms of the events of the novel but the background stuff as well (like the tradwife thing).
As for the book, I borrowed it from the library (just in case I hated the FMC enough to dnf – I didn’t want to worry about sunken cost). So I have been reading exclusively, but that is good to know about the audiobook.

I prefer ebooks, usually from library (Libby or Borrowbox), sometimes kindle if cheap(er) or free. I’ve started listening to audiobooks occasionally. I have a Spotify subscription and get 15 hours free audiobook listening. They have some great titles, usually before the library gets them.

I really enjoyed Love, Theoretically & hope you do too! And definitely had similar feelings while reading Yesteryear lol.
