WWW Wednesday #10

Hiya friends! I hope everyone had a great week of reading. I managed to finish a single book this week, so there is that. I did have a lot going on, however, in addition to going to my in-laws’ house. I started reading a book out of left field while there, thanks to a conversation with my father-in-law, so that was an interesting adjustment for the week. Hope everyone had a better week of progress than I did. Let’s get to it!

What I Have Finished Reading

I finished Bad Words and absolutely loved it. It had such great commentary on what it means to be a reader and what it means to be a writer as well. Ireally enjoyed the characters and how they were portrayed and how their individual growth informed the progression of the story. For my full review, click here.

What I Am Currently Reading

Yes, yes, I know. The new book came out yesterday and I am still only in the middle of my reread. I have made a lot of progress on my reread but I wasn’table to listen to it at all while with my in-laws. I read another book instead while I was there (see below). But I have made good progress and should finish ACOWAR in the next day or so!

As usual I haven’t made any progress on this but I do plan on jumping into it sometime this week.

I likewise haven’t made any progress here, but I do plan on reading some of it this week. My group will be meeting on November 15th to discuss it, so I hope to have it read by about a week out from then.

It should be no surprise that I haven’t made progress with this, but I do not plan on DNFing. I have enough hope that the story will pick up and be great.

Per a conversation with my father-in-law about the Robert Langdon series, I picked Angels and Demons up for a reread so that I could make my way through and actually finish the series (at least, up to what is currently published, in case Brown plans to write more). I’m enjoying the book but it is a lot simpler than I remember it being when I read it back in high school.

What I Am Reading Next

Of course, once I finish ACOWAR I plan on jumping into ACOFAS right away to get myself closer to being able to ready Splintered Harmony. I’m so far away it feels like. Because I will also be reading the Crescent City books. At least ACOFAS is short!

I can’t wait to read this. Enough said.

Ditto.

Ditto x2.

I read this back in high school, like Angels and Demons, (although at that time I read The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons wasn’t out yet) and I remember enjoying the twists and turns but I have only read a couple of the Robert Langdon books since then (The Lost Symbol and Inferno). We’ll see how fast I can make it through this series.

That’s it for this week! I hope everyone has a wonderful week of reading. Wish me luck that I get a bunch read by next Wednesday! I hope to have at least two books finished by then.
