I recently went on vacation in my home state of Georgia and, as usual, made a point to visit an independent bookstore or two. I was in the area west of Atlanta and dear Siri told me to check out this little bookstore in Powder Springs. It looked cute and of course I couldn’t resist the name so I decided to check it out.
I wandered into The Bookworm and began speaking with the owner, a lovely woman named Susan, and she informed me that she had actually just decided to put the store for sale! While I would love to own my own store, I certainly don’t have the money and I don’t live in Georgia at this time so it wouldn’t work, unfortunately.
So, if you live in Georgia and have always wanted to own your own store, check it out. I have included loads of pictures and Susan’s information (with her approval) below!
Susan really hopes to keep the place a bookstore and not just be changed into something different and I feel the same way. In a world where it feels like bookstores are slowly disappearing, lets not let that happen!
If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, give Susan a call!
Let’s find The Book Worm a new owner so it can stick around for many more years to come!
The store is located on a quaint street in Powder Springs and has large customer database of well over 8,000 loyal customers and new visitors every day. It is both a brick-and-mortar store as well as an online venture. And, for the right price, there is a warehouse filled with over 20,000 books for the store!
